Hi what is the best way to get the user to update their data. Because we sent emails out telling them to update their profile, they turned around and used the another email and so on. How can I place a unique link inside the email, to make sure it will update thier information from their previous insertion?
Also I got to thinking of it, anyone could update someones information quite easily I think, because if I am right, someone could just go insert someone eases email into the email field chaining their info?
That’s true. If another lead fakes an email correctly they could overwrite the current lead field data if the form they submit is meant to update lead fields.
Currently there’s not a way to make sure users who use two different emails are associated. There’s not much I can do about this at this point due to the way our logic systems are setup.
Open to ideas for you and others but right now we’ve got to work inside the limitations. You could use dynamic fields and some custom JS to make sure the landing page the user lands on during an email campaign to update their fields has their email field auto-populated and disabled to “readonly” status.
By the way I have someone integrating your API now.
I am going to password protect certain leads after they have been put into the database (I hired a developer) or at least add some type of security feature to protect the leads. Along with some other features sing the API.
If we come up with a great extension (of any type), I will send it to you to add it to the extensions if you approve of it of course.
I think we could build a lot around the inboundnow..
