I’m trying this on a new site with no users but can’t seem to get the rule to create any users. I use double opt-in on all of my lists, if that matters.
1. User visits Home page and complete form.
2. User is directed to Thank You page.
3. User receives confirmation email.
4. User confirms email and is added as lead.
5. The user account doesn’t get created.
My rule looks simple enough:
Trigger: On Lead Create or Update
Action: Create user
Set Role: Subscriber
Logs in Auto: Yes
Am I missing anything?
Desperately trying to get this to work!
Any responses appreciated.January 29, 2019 at 5:48 pm #134353
Since I’m using double opt-in I also tried this using the On double opt-in confirmation trigger and got the same response.
Leads are added before being confirmed. I thought the purpose of double opt-in was to keep the leads from being added to the database until it was confirmed?
Any responses appreciated.January 29, 2019 at 7:30 pm #134354
Undefined index error pointing to
/wp-content/plugins/inbound-pro/core/automation/definitions/action.create_user.php on line 136.
I get this error after disabling the Defer Processing option and completing the form.

Is it possible I could test this setup onsite with temporary access?
When the trigger ‘On Lead Creation/Update Event’ is set it should create the user when the lead profile is created. I’ll need to review your automation log to discover why it did not work. If ‘Defer Processing’ is disabled, it should log them in. It will not log them in if ‘Defer Processing’ is enabled.
Looking at some of those error logs it seems there was an error when creating the user. I’d have to look in the logs to discover why.
Confirming double optin will add the lead to the list, but a lead does not need to confirm to have a lead profile created. Double Optin only confirms the lead being added to a list.
The trigger should be set to ‘On Lead Create Event’. It’s possible that there is issues with performing these actions on ‘Double Optin Confirmation Event’.January 30, 2019 at 7:17 am #134363This reply has been marked as private.January 30, 2019 at 8:25 pm #134372
I looked into the setup and confirmed that the trigger ‘On Double Optin Confirmation’ needed some heavy work to make it perform like you were wanting. After a handful of tests and upgrades I have it working on the test site.
I will have to upgrade Inbound Pro for it to work on your other sites. I’ll go ahead and push the updates.January 30, 2019 at 9:25 pm #134373
I see where you renamed the rule for testing purposes and will rename it back to continue testing.
Observation: I see the new update and was able to update it via Dasboard > Updates.
I’ll update it on my other sites and attempt to create this same rule to confirm.
