since we are forced to use double-optin by law we use it for our newsletter lead-list. It works fine, double-optin is activated in the lead-list, we use one of your custom templates for confirmation-email including [inbound-list-double-optin-link] (link to the final confirmation-page ist set in general settings under “Confirmation Page Location”. Everything works fine BUT
since May 25th we have to do double-optin confirmation for any other activity too (like registering for an event we offer). Is it possible to use individually assigned confirmation-pages per lead-list? If yes, how?
Thanks in advance, cheers, HaraldJune 5, 2018 at 12:38 pm #133164
Happy to field your question. Will you expand & rephrase this part of your question? ” Is it possible to use individually assigned confirmation-pages per lead-list? If yes, how?”
I’ll see what I can discover.

just to clarify my question:
IF I create a lead-list I can enable “double-optin” during the setup.
At this point a shortcut “[inbound-list-double-optin-link]” will be presented to me if I enable a custom email template (created under automated emails).
Then that shortcut should be integrated into the selected email template to provide the user with the final confirmation page after clicking that link.
The shortcut itself and the confirmation page are defined under general settings:
So the question is: is there only one single confirmation page for all lead-lists requiring double-optin (respectivly one shortcut)?
If I want individual confirmation pages for any single double-optin lead-list (and not one for all) what do I have to do?

We can change the double-optin confirmation page, but we can’t change it for each lead list.
What we can do is add a param like this
&redirect=someurlto the end of our confirmation shortcode and then use custom code to redirect the confirming user after they have confirmed double optin. This feature improvement would require custom development.
Alternatively in you confirmation email you could have one link within the email to confirm double optin and another that sends the user to the appropriate offering page.

I have set up a project at Codeable naming you as preferred expert. Not sure if you are willing to do the work. Please give me a short sign whether we can start this or not. Thx!

Deep appreciation for opting to fund work through Codeable, and even me. I have a partner who works at Codeable and takes jobs directly from me sometimes as well. If there are two people with great intimate knowledge of Inbound Pro and expanding it, it’s me in first and Mathew Bisset coming in a passionate second.
I’ll get him to come on board to your project for review, and also keep an eye on it as well and stand by his side if he’s any issues finding a solution. Also if for some reason he’s out I’ll consider taking the work myself or bringing another compentent developer on board. Codeable is full of people who are my superior, so shouldn’t be any worries about finding solution.
Please keep an eye out for a reply on your ticket. One should come soon.
