Hi there. I’ve noticed that my site search option doesn’t work when inboundnow plugins are activated. I.e. landing pages, call to action, and leads.

When I deactivate them it works. Have you seen this before.

    Example here: http://www.lanesinsurance.com/blog/

Site search in the sidebar area.

    Thank you

It’s been awhile since I’ve seen a search related error but our search tracking egnine was updated recently. I confirmed search is working on my test theme and twentysixteen. It seems theme specific. Try turning off search tracking in Inbound-Pro->Settings->Leads and see if that restores the feature.

Hi Hudson. Sorry this particular site does not use PRO. Just the free versions of your plugins. Anything else I can try?

Basic Leads settings should have an off switch too for searches I believe.

    Dear Hudson,

I am testing your plugin (WP Landing Pages) and am having exactly the same issue, but cannot find any basic leads settings. Are you referring to a different plugin above?

I run the Iconic One theme and have deactivated all the plugins, reactivated one by one, and isolated the search disabling to the Landing Pages plugin. Do you have any suggestions to what I can do next?

    Thanks in advance,
    Henrik

    Hi Henrik,

I’m pushing a new version of landing pages that should take care of this issue. But the quick-fix would be to install Leads plugin by Inbound Now and use it’s settings to disable the search tracking feature.

I have used the work around from Hudsom Atwell’s post to get the search working.

However, the root issue still exists when the tracking feature is enabled. I am running Inbound Now Pro Version 1.8.3.8.7 on WordPress version 4.8.1. Issue is prevalent on our development, staging, and production sites. Each site is basically identical at the moment.

It’s theme specific from my tests. I’m not entirely sure what’s causing it but a fix is planned and documented here: https://github.com/inboundnow/inbound-pro/issues/151, and we’re welcome to pull requests too if you or another spot the solution.

What wp theme are you using?

    Kind regards,
    Hudson Atwell

    Hudson,

Your github link is great info. I will pass it along to the dev team.

Our theme is highly customized. It could be a form name attribute issue. We are using the name=”s” which I believe is a wordpress standard.

I let the team know about the ability to do a pull.

    Thank you,
    Mike B.
