It’s your old friend and novice pupil coming at you again for guidance. This really a continuation of the earlier problem whereby I’m trying to get my landing page to automatically generate a thank you for registering response in addition to the process whereby Constant Contact adds the name to a particular contact list and sends out a follow up responder form with instructions for downloading a requested item.
When we were having such problems with getting everything straight, Meister’s VP came up with a solution whereby a signup form was created on the Meister website. That form was linked to Constant contact and a thank you for registering was generated.
I’m trying to have that thank you automatically come up to landing page respondents. Everything else works ok regarding contact.
You had suggested a redirect address inserted into the “URL re-address” section of your form. I couldn’t get it to work. I even tried a remote web address to see if that would come up. Meister’s VP had given me instructions as to how he did it to get just the thank you piece. It doesn’t work for me.
This is the only area where we have a problem. I don’t know if you can help, but I’d appreciate your taking a look. I’ll attach documents.
Thanks again Hudson.

You’ll want to add the thank you page URL to the input indicated in the third screenshot entitled ‘Redirect-Solution’. Then when you have done that please link me to the page where the form is and I will test it to make sure the redirect works, or does not work and why.April 17, 2017 at 7:07 am #129246
I hope you had a nice Easter and stayed away from any work-related items and just vegged out.
Thanks for your response. I’m going to have to figure out or get Bruce to tell me where to locate the thank you form. He had originally indicated that it was something automatically generated by Constant Contact but he had been able to make changes to it. As you can see from my earlier jpeg, the thank you form looks as though it was created as part of the Meister Toolbox site and developed through the WordPress.org site. I’ll also ask Bruce but he may not get back to me for a while because he is in the midst of planning for an international sales meeting next week.
I thought that maybe plugging in any old address into the redirect URL would tell me if it was working, but not the case.
So stay tuned and thanks again for all the past and present assistance.

Hi Ross how’s it going?
Yes if you put, say, http://www.google.com in the redirect URL setting of an Inbound Form then after submitting the form it should take you there.
So that thank you page you show in the first screeshot would be a great place to redirect users too.
Also, if you’ve done the above with little success I’d love to see a screenshot of the Inbound Form setup and a link where the users go to fill out the form so I can test it.
Cheers and a good one.April 21, 2017 at 7:04 am #129290
I hope you had a delightful Easter.I don’t know if I can shed anymore light on this situation until I manage to get to Bruce. What I can tell you is that he set up a signup form directly on the mister toolbox site. The signup address is https://meister-abrasives-toolbox.com/info-links/sign-up-forms/enter-your-contact-information/. Our direct mail letters link to that signup form. When one enters the information it shoots to Constant Contact but immediately the Registration-cost calculation tool thank you is generated. The new name is added to the constant contact list and the auto responder from Constant Contact goes out as a follow-up with the link to download the cost calculator. Bruce indicated that he embedded the constant contact form web address for “cost calc sign-up for website” into his Meister sign-up form and was able to come up with the thank you form. When I try that from our landing page it doesn’t work. But I’m not totally surprised. This is maybe reiterating something of an earlier message, but it is what I know so far. I do know that our landing page is working fine when it comes to making contact with Constant Contact and sending out the auto-responder for the recipient to download the cost calculator. I just need to figure out how to get that instantantaneous thank you response piece. And I did follow your instructions as to the proper placement on the inboundNOW constant contact integration form. I’ve attached the sequence of when I submitted a form and the immediate thanks that came back. I’ve also attached a copy of the cost calc form in Constant Contact and where Bruce had indicated to get the embed code.
Thanks again Hudson.

That form is not an Inbound Form it’s a form provided by Constant Contact. That means the form redirect will not be powered by our form system and instead will be powered by whatever was used to build the form.
That being said, the redirect URL setup instructions I provided in other threads for setting up Inbound Forms with Constant Contact integration aren’t applicable, unless you want to ditch that form and use our Inbound Forms tool and Constant Contact Integration extension to create the CC connected form.April 28, 2017 at 5:21 am #129421
Thanks Hudson. And, as usual, thanks for all the you do assisting me and the many other followers of InboundNOW. I do wish you the best of success in the coming years because from what I’ve seen, there are few who work as hard as you or care as much about getting things right for their client.
Thanks for the advice. This is a funny kind of situation because somehow Bruce was able to create a signup form using the Meister toolbox masthead. The major response item is, indeed, from a constant contact form. But the automatic thank you generated carries the look of the Mister signup..no resemblance to any Constant Contact auto responder. I’m trying to figure this out…and will probably have to talk with Bruce when he is available. With my inbound landing page I’m using the inbound now constant contact integration plugin. From what you are saying it would appear that the Mister signup page must be strictly with constant contact. It is working, but both Bruce and I agree that we need your landing page structure to create a stronger impression.
We’ve figured everything else out so far and we’ll figure this one out as well.
Incidentally, I tried to leave another endorsement but it would seem that when it comes to the landing page area once I’ve done one it doesn’t seem possible to add another.Am I missing something?
All the best.

Heya Ross, Appreciate the kind words. I hope things go well. Cheers.
Okay maybe these words will help. I’m not sure what the Meister toolbox masthead is so please forgive me, but When you use an Inbound Now Landing Page, we want to make sure we use an Inbound Now form to collect the data and control the redirect. That means that if we use any other form tool it’s possible the system will not work right.
Since you are wanting to send data to Constant Contact, the CC extension we provide and you’ve installed will help our forms do this. We can also control where we redirect users after they submit our form. We can send them anywhere we want. We have already captured their data, and sent that data to contain contact behind the scenes, now we need to redirect their browser to a thank you page. In our other screenshots we’ve shown where to set this up inside an Inbound Now Form.
PS if you’ve already left a review for landing pages, maybe leave one for Calls to Action or Leads plugin. They all help:
